Le dimanche 27 juin 2021, se tiendra la 21ème édition des BET Awards à Los Angeles. Dans la compétition, trois artistes africains sont nominés dans la catégorie ''Meilleur artiste international'', à savoir : Diamond Platnumz, Wizkid et Burna Boy.

Dans la catégorie ''Meilleur artiste international' ', le tanzanien Diamond Platnumz, les nigérians Wizkid et Burna Boy sont en compétition avec le rappeur français Youssoupha, Aya Nakamura (France), Headie One (Royaume-Uni), Young T & Bugsey ( Royaume-Uni) et Emicida (Brésil).

A souligner que, cet événement célèbre les réalisations dans le domaine du divertissement et honore la musique, les sports, la télévision et les films.

Concernant Burna Boy, cet artiste a été sacré deux fois, ' 'Meilleur artiste international'' aux BET Awards, en 2019 et 2019 . Au compte de cette édition 2021, il est face à son compatriote, Wizkid, le tanzanien Diamond Platnumz Diamond Platnumz et d'autres stars internationales.
